Shift Lead

Availability: Nights & Weekends

Purpose: To lead with enthusiasm and expertise, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for both patrons and team members. Oversee daily operations, coordinate and motivate the team, and provide exceptional customer service. By fostering a positive and collaborative environment, your aim is to enhance the overall bowling experience, making each visit memorable and maintaining the center as a hub of entertainment for all ages.

Duties:
- Identify potential problems, including safety hazards, develop and implement preventive actions.

- Handle customer complaints and problems that arise using judgment as to which ones to refer to the Manager.

- Have a thorough working knowledge of, and when needed, perform all the duties of control desk & porter.

- Be able to perform all opening and closing procedures when scheduled to do so.

- Have a basic working knowledge of, and when needed, assist or temporarily perform the duties of pinchaser, lane maintenance, janitor, bartender, lane server, snack bar attendant, and league record service.

Properly manage bowling center team, as instructed by General Manager. Responsible for ensuring all employees perform their job functions in a manner consistent with company policies and applicable laws.

Education Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience and Knowledge:
Some experience in customer service, sales, or management preferred.

Previous bowling employment is a plus.

Good communication skills, knowledge of bowling is helpful.
Responsibilities and Physical Requirements:

Judgement: Judgement is required regularly not only in determining methods operations but in customer service problem solving. Exceptional problems are referred to a higher level of management.

Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, is responsible for assigned areas of work and for the operation of the center in the absence of the General Manager. The failure to comply with all Company policies could lead to grounds for dismissal.

Experienced Cook

Availability: Nights & Weekends

Purpose: To play a key role in ensuring that our customers have access to high-quality and appetizing food options during their visit to our center. You will work closely with our kitchen team to prepare and serve a variety of dishes, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

- Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely and hygienically, following proper food handling procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation standards and regulations.

- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock.

 - Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop and update menu offerings, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple orders simultaneously to meet customer demand.

- Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen personnel, ensuring that all team members adhere to food safety protocols and operational procedures.

- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and coworkers, delivering exceptional service at all times.

Education Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience and Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school education or relevant certification is a plus.

Proven experience working as a Cook or Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.

Front Desk Coordinator

Availability: Nights & Weekends

Purpose: To provide exceptional customer service, operational support, and ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Efficiently manage lane reservations, facilitate smooth check-ins, address customer inquiries, and contribute to the overall success of the center by creating a positive and vibrant atmosphere for bowlers of all ages and skill levels.

Duties:
- Greeting customers upon arrival and assist customers with inquiries, lane reservations, and equipment rentals.

- Follow lane assignment procedures, monitor lane usage, and assist with lane transitions.

- Troubleshoot technical issues with bowling equipment and scoring systems and coordinate with maintenance staff for any necessary repairs or tasks.

- Perform regular inspections of lanes, seating areas, and restrooms in order to maintain a clean and organized bowling center environment.

- Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure the well-being of customers.

- Clean and sanitize bowling balls, shoes, and rental equipment.

- Respond quickly to spills and other safety hazards to prevent accidents.

- Follow proper procedures for opening and closing cash registers and maintaining accurate records of transactions and receipts.

- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and reconcile cash drawers.

- Process payments for lane rentals, shoe rentals, and other services.

- Promote special events, leagues, and promotions to customers.

- Distribute flyers, coupons, and promotional materials.

- Solicit feedback from customers to improve services and offerings.

Directs of Work: Pinchasers, as prescribed by Head Mechanic. Responsible for ensuring that subordinates perform their job functions in a manner consistent with applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations.

Education Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience and Knowledge:
Previous Customer Service experience preferred.

Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Knowledge of bowling techniques and equipment is a plus.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move around the bowling center. Lifting and carrying around bowling balls and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Bending, stooping, and reaching to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks. Manual dexterity for operating cash registers and handling equipment.

Assistant Mechanic

Availability: Nights & Weekends

Purpose: To assist in maintaining the automatic Brunswick pinsetters and other operating equipment of the center at the highest level of efficiency.

Duties:
1.) Follow preventative maintenance schedule.

2.) Clear malfunctions, making adjustments and repairs as necessary.

3.) Maintain housekeeping for pit and shop areas.

4.) Repair and maintain all other operating equipment, as directed. Assist in training Pinchasers.

5.) Clean, repair, and adjust telefouls, as directed.

6.) Repair and maintain automatic scoring equipment, as directed.

7.) Maintain records of malfunctions, repairs, adjustments, and parts used, as directed.

8.) Maintain and replenish parts inventory, as directed.

9.) Perform minor lane repairs, as directed.

10.) Monitor daily cleaning and conditioning of lanes, as directed.

11.) Identify and report any potential safety hazards

Directs of Work: Pinchasers, as prescribed by Head Mechanic. Responsible for ensuring that subordinates perform their job functions in a manner consistent with applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations.

Education Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience and Knowledge:
General Mechanic Experience Preferred.

Thorough knowledge of hand tools and small power tools.

Must have communication skills that commensurate with job responsibilities.
Responsibilities and Physical Requirements:

Judgement: Judgement is required frequently in determining the solution to maintenance problems. Critical problems referred to a higher level, sometimes for immediate advice as to a solution.

Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Climbing, reaching, and balancing on operating machinery.

Responsibilities: Responsible for assigned areas of work performed under supervision of Head Mechanic or Center Manager.
